Llanddewi Velfrey On Sunday the village held its annual service of Remebrance in the village hall to pay respect for those that have laid down their lives in the two world wars and other conflicts that have occurred since. The service has been held annually since 1947 and was first initiated by Mr Dai Davies, Balaclava who served in the Second World War for over five years without any leave. The attendance has always been good and seems to be improving every year.

The service is a joint service between Bethel Congregational Chapel, Ffynnon Baptist Chapel and St Davids Church. Officiating were the vicar Rev David Hammon and the message was delivered in his usual able way by Rev Huw George who also produced the leaflets.

The wreath at the memorial was laid by Cllr Tudor Eynon. The organist was Mrs Julie Young and the collection was recieved
