Wheelchair users can now get right on to the beach at Whitesands thanks to funding from the Welsh Assembly.
The money was given to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority as part of a grant to improve access.
The new wheelchairs have extra large low pressure tyres that don't sink into the sand, so now users can get right down to the waterline.
Two wheelchairs are available at Whitesands, thanks to a partnership between the national park authority and Whitesands Sunlounger Hire. The wheelchairs can be hired for £3 per day.
Six more beach wheelchairs are operating elsewhere in the national park.
For more information, contact Whitesands Sunlounger Hire on 01437 720692 or Karin Morgan at the national park authority on 0845 3457275
