Wet show wrapped up before virus outbreak Buy this photo »
The 150th Fishguard Show, at Fronhaul fields, on Friday, ended just hours before the foot and mouth outbreak and restrictions were announced.
The show is an important community and agricultural event, and organisers were keen to make this year bigger and better than ever for the anniversary, despite persistant rain and fog.
A special songs of praise service was held at St Mary's Church, Fishguard, on the Sunday before the show to give thanks for the hard work that has made the show possible for so many years.
To celebrate the anniversary a display of old farm tools and pictures of the show throughout the years were on display.
Classes were well-attended with competitors from Pembrokeshire and beyond, for what may be the last time sheep and cattle entries will be seen in the show rings this summer.
The show's highlights included a parade of vintage vehicles, threshing demonstrations, motorbike display team Motorstunt International and a display by Pembrokeshire Foxhounds.
There was an appearance from racehorse McKelvey from Peter Bowen's yard, at Little Newcastle, who came second in this year's Grand National.
There were also a number of undercover events to entertain visitors taking refuge from the weather, including cooking demonstrations, horticulture competitions and craft stalls.
Show secretary Janet Cornock said: "It's been brilliant despite the weather. Everything has gone on as usual and everyone has pitched in and got on with it.
"It's the first time the show has had rain in 12 years, but it didn't seem to put the exhibitors off."
