Police are cracking down on anti-social behaviour in Fishguard and Goodwick, as residents call for action.
A large number of residents attended a recent Fishguard Neighbourhood policing meeting, and raised concerns about antisocial behaviour in Market Square, Main Street and Lota Park areas of the town.
Several complained about groups of youths congregating on push bikes in the area, causing hazards on the road and being abusive to residents.
The Fishguard Neighbour-hood Policing team said alcohol was being confiscated from young people, and their details were being passed on to the anti-social behaviour co-ordinator.
People were urged to report incidents in order for the police to have a realistic view of the problems in the area.
Other issues raised at the meeting included parking. Some Goodwick residents had concerns over the policing of the one hour parking bays in Main Street.
The neighbourhood policing team have arranged a meeting in the function room at Fishguard Leisure Centre, on October 2nd, at 7pm, so residents of the area can discuss the issue in depth.
Police have listed the priorities to tackle during the next month as anti-social behaviour in Fishguard, drinking and noise nuisance in Goodwick Square and speeding in Goodwick.
Anyone who wants to contact the Fishguard Neighbourhood Policing Team can attend the next forum meeting on Monday October 8th, at Fishguard Leisure Centre, from 7pm, to 9pm, or call 0845 330 2000, or e-mail fishguardNPT@dyfed-powys.pnn.police.uk.
