I saw a policeman interviewing a resident in Castle Street, this morning. It looked like someone had sprayed some racist grafitti on her car bonnet.
There was also a Pembrokeshire Van opposite with 2 or 3 Council workmen who looked like they were there to remove similar racist grafitti sprayed on the wall on the opposite of the road, when given the go ahead.
I understood the word "saes" and I asked a friend what the other word meant and the significance of crossed hammers.
I looked on the WT website to see if they carried the story and it wasn't reported on Radio Pembrokeshire's News, either.

Mochyn Saesneg

As I do not read the blogs that are written before the comments section, I have to rely on the people I meet in the street, to tell me what has been posted.
One of my friends I met in the street asked me what the signifance of crossed hams was. To ensure I gave a correct interpretation I checked out the definition in my dictionary and came up with the following.

CROSSED = to move or extend from one side to another.
HAM = any person who, liking attention or acclaim, makes himself ridiculous or obnoxious.

I can only deduce from this, that a crossed ham is someone who likes attention or acclaim, makes themself ridiculous or obnoxious and has moved from one side to another.

I must go now and listen to Radio Pembrokeshire's News and check the WT website, I'm sure that they have some serious reporting to share.
Then it's out onto the streets again to look for more friends and give them the opportunity to tell me of any more blogs that have been posted.

LOCAL BOY you crack me up LOL

Saesneg Mochyn means English Pig Andrew.

Sorry, I missed a comma out there.....

Saesneg Mochyn means English Pig, Andrew.

Why should it be reported????

Now, get your snout out of the trough.

It's people like you Andrew Lye who engage in extreme political correctness that make this world mad to live in sometimes.

How can it be RACISM? The English are NOT a race of people, they are part of the white Caucasian race, as are the Welsh, so it's prejudice at worse.

I have a neice who is a school teacher and she hears much worse than this in the school playground every day.

Wind your neck in and stop being pathetic.

3 council workmen to scrub a bit of paint off a wall?

No wonder the council tax is so high.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter whether it's racism or just prejudice.

What does matter is some ignorant vandal has defaced another persons property, with derogatory comments about a group of people because of their ethnicity.

More likely to be someone who is ticked off with the fact that they can't afford to get on the local housing ladder because of the soaring prices partly due to the number of people buying up second homes in Pembrokeshire to use as holiday homes which lay empty for the vast majority of the year.

WHY THE HELL ARE PEOPLE ALLOWED TO WALK THEIR DOGS ON A RUGBY FIELD??????????????????????

Police appeal after dog fight assault Police in Haverfordwest are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault that escalated from a dog fight on Prendergast rugby field yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.

I was told by somebody in the street that a comment had been added by Juan Voyce.
That's the wonderful thing about this modern technology, anyone from anywhere can join in. Perhaps Juan is writing from Mexico in which case I will offer some local history.

A few years ago an englishman came to these parts and opened a pub and in an effort to make more money tried out a few novel ideas.
Once the topless barmaids left and the crowds from miles away ceased to call, he found a need for more desperate measures.

I quote the following from elsewhere.

Next thing, the pub burnt down whilst he was away and he claimed on the insurance.
He drew attention to CUMRU AM BYTH on the outside toilet wall and he blamed Welsh Nationalists /Meibion Glyndwr ,for burning his pub down.
However, the police got suspicious because it said CUMRU ,not the correct CYMRU on the toilet wall. They checked it out. It was ARSON. He had written on the wall himself and paid someone to burn the pub down whilst he was away, so he could get out of trouble and claim insurance on an unsaleable, failing pub.

I recall that Moonshine taught us the phrase from england, 'fire of convenience' in this case I think it was a 'fire in the conveniences'!

The New Inn on the road between Haverfordwest and Cardigan was the location.
Perhaps others can remind us of any more facts about this incident.

Was there a Pembrokeshire Van opposite with 2 or 3 Council workmen who looked like they were there to remove similar racist grafitti sprayed on the wall on the opposite of the road, when given the go ahead.
at the time of the New Inn incident?

I am still trying to imagine what council workmen look like when waiting to be given the go ahead look like.

Well if you believe the Max Boyce view on Council Workmen they will usually be leaning on their spades and have their billy cans brewing.
