IT WAS “nice to see them to see them nice” when nearly 400 sporty people packed into Crystal Palace to take part in the sports centre's Generation Games.
The Crystal Palace Partnership put on a day of sporting activities aiming to encourage people of all ages and abilities to take part.
Schoolchildren enjoyed the event by slam dunking on the basketball court, women stretched and jumped in aerobics classes and the adventure-loving children dared to hang out in Spike's Madhouse.
Sportsability, the disabled sports organisation, lent a hand putting on events especially designed for disabled sports enthusiasts.
The day was put on to raise awareness of the Crystal Palace regeneration project, which includes Sports Outreach and Sports Development, and encourage the wider community to take part in sports.
Co-ordinator, Jacqueline Harding, said it was a very special day and fun for everyone involved.
