GWYNETH Pritchard (nee Davies) was born in St Davids a very happy little girl until at the age of eight when her dad was badly injured during a Mediterranean convoy in the Second World War, three days later William Henry Davies passed away.

The family then moved to Monkton for the rest of their lives. Glen passed away in 2003 and Gwyneth on November 13 2014 after 48 hours in Withybush Hospital.

The emotional service was led by the Rev Paul Nash, Simon her grandson read out a short story he had written.
