MRS M. A. NORMAN
TEMPLETON
Maureen Ann Norman, of Maurlion, Templeton, died on June 10th at Withybush Hospital, aged 73.
She was born in Yorkshire before moving to Neyland and spent her working life as a personal secretary with various companies, the last one being with South Wales Electricity Board.
After retirement, together with husband Lionel, she spent many happy times travelling around the world on various cruises.
The family left to mourn and the principal mourners are: Lionel (husband); Gina and Les Hughes (daughter and son-in-law); Richard and Helen, Mark and Joe (sons and daughters-in-law); Laura, Ben, Thomas, James, Dean and Kieran (grandchildren); Victor and Sheila (brother-in-law and sister-in-law), Ann (sister-in-law); plus numerous nieces and nephews.
The bearers were Les and Ben Hughes, Richard and Mark Norman, Vincent and Paul Thomas.
The funeral service was led by Canon Butler at Templeton Church, followed by a service at Parc Gwyn Crematorium.
The funeral arrangements were carried out by E. C. Thomas and Son, Archways, Green Plains, Stepaside.

Haverfordwest
The death occurred at Withybush Hospital on June 10th of Alun Dewi Thomas, of 75 Dew Street, Haverford-west. He was 87.
A native of Dinas Cross, Alun served his time with the RAF during the war in Burma and India. He was a master carpenter with Price and Davies, in Haverfordwest, before setting up his own business which he ran for many years. Alun also worked for Everest Double Glazing prior to his retirement.
Married to wife Phyllis for 63 years, his main interests besides his family were sport (Arsenal), gardening and reading.
The principal mourners are: Phyllis (wife); Derrick (son); Susan and Ann (daughters); Susan (daughter-in- law); Adam, Thomas and Lloyd (grandsons); Emma and Darren John (grand daughter and husband); Lucy and Eve (great grandchildren); Avril and Ralph Williams, Islwyn and Enid Vaughan, Austin and Carol Vaughan, Glyn Vaughan (brothers and sisters-in-law); Irene and Patricia (neices) and other family and friends to numerous to mention.
Representatives of the RAF Association also attended.
The funeral was held at Parc Gwyn Crematorium and was led by Pastor Gareth Edwards.
The bearers were Darren John, Adam Thomas, Thomas Davies and LLoyd Davies.
There were family flowers only with donations in lieu to Withybush Hospital League of Friends to Bryn Perkins, 2 Thurston Lane, Sardis, Milford Haven.
The funeral director was Glyn Thomas, of Freystrop.
MR A. MAJEWSKI
MILFORD HAVEN
The death occurred at Withybush Hospital on May 29th of Alex Majewski, of 13 Westaway Drive, Hakin, Milford Haven. He was 56.
There was a large gathering for the funeral service which took place on June 5th at St Katharine’s and St Peter’s Church, Milford Haven and later at Parc Gwyn Crematorium. The service was led by Father Roy Doxey, with readings by daughter Nicky and family member Stephen Powell.
Born in Bookham, Surrey, he came to Milford Haven at the age of three with his parents, the late Mr and Mrs Z. Majewski, formerly of the Lansdowne House Hotel, Hamilton Terrace. Known throughout his school days as Alex Miles, he later became Alex Miles-Majewski.
Alex married Ainsley in March 1975. He also leaves his children, daughter and son-in-law Nicky and Alex and son and partner Christian and Amy, along with three grandchildren, Jake, Jessie and Zach.
In 1977 he began work as a process shift technician at the Amoco Refinery and by 1989 he had been moved to work with computers. He became a process computer operator and continued moving upwards when Amoco became the Elf Refinery.
After over 20 years of working at the refinery, he was head-hunted by Aspen Technology whose work took him to America and the Middle East.
He left them to set-up on his own, installing computer systems to aid the smooth running of oil refineries. But when the work dried-up in Kuwait due to the Iraqi war, he created his own company Nacal Solutions which works with local businesses using the latest web design and touch screen technology.
Alex was a proud, hardworking man, and he was totally dedicated to his family.
His main interests were walking the various coast paths with Ainsley and their dog Sam, photography, reading and anything to do with computers.
Family left to mourn are: Ainsley (wife); Nicky and Alex (daughter and son-in-law); Christian and Amy (son and fiancée); Jake, Jessie and Zach (grandchildren); Chris (sister-in-law); Kay and David (niece and husband); Evan and Imogen (great nephew and great niece).
The bearers were Christian Majewski, Alex Powell, Alan Bateman, Ken Davies, Ian Wilson, Domenico Todaro and John Hackett.
There were family flowers only with donations for Cancer Research to Margaret Jones, 113 Waterloo Road, Hakin, Milford Haven.
The funeral arrangements were carried out by Tom Newing and Sons, of Milford Haven.
Mr. R. Pollard
Fishguard
The funeral service took place on June 19th of Richard George Pollard, of Penyraber, Fishguard who died on June 11th, aged 82.
He was predeceased by his brother Eddie.
Richard was born in London and moved to Fishguard in 1974 where he worked at RNAD Trecwn. Following his retirement he became an avid member of Fishguard and Goodwick Bowls Club representing both club and county and making friends across Pembrokeshire.
He was also a volunteer driver for Country Cars.
The requiem mass took place at the Church of the Holy Name, Fishguard and was followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn, Narberth. The mass was celebrated by Monsignor Clyde Hughes, Johnson.
Principal mourners are: Maura (wife); Caroline and Richard (daughter and son-in-law); Kate (grand daughter).
Unable to attend were Lynne and Karen (nieces, USA).
Bearers were Alan Howells, Peter Davies, Gethin Griffiths and Paul Winkler.
There were family flowers only, but donations for the Paul Sartori Foundation may be sent to Paul Jenkins and Sons, Feidr Castell, Fishguard, SA65 9BB. who also carried out the funeral arrangements.

Mr T. Wonnacott
Milford Haven
The death occurred at home of Terrance Wonnacott, of Headlands, South Hook Road, Gelliswick, Milford Haven on June 5th. He was 70.
A native of Hakin, he was a French polisher for W. L. Price, a tug relief skipper and he also owned the Coracle fish and chip shop for 30 years. He retired in 2002.
The family left to mourn and principal mourners are: Janet Wonnacott (wife); Louise and Gareth (daughter and partner); Carl and Helen (son and daughter-in-law); Lowri, Ieuan, Emily, Alice (grandchildren); Kenny and Gwen (brother and wife); Sid and Marion (brother and wife); Brenda (sisters); Dolly (mother-in-law); Jean and Dave (sister and brother-in-law).
The service was held at Parc Gwyn Crematorium and was led by Rev Martyn Evans. The bearers were Byron Huddleston, Phil Witts, Brian Thomas and Chris Davies.
There were immediate family flowers with donations to the Coronary Care Unit Trust Fund, Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.
The funeral arrangements were carried out by Tom Newing and Son, Milford Haven.

Trefin
The death occurred at Withybush Hospital on June 11th of David James Davies, of 12 Ael-y-Felin, Penparc, Trefin. He was 77.
Dai was a carpenter by trade, working on many building sites until his retirement in 1997.
The funeral service was held at Croesgoch Baptist Chapel on June 16th and was followed by interment at Croesgoch Cemetery. The service was led by Rev D. Carl Williams, who was assisted by John Evans.
The bearers were Arwel Williams, Edward Hughes, Wynne Adams and Colin Reed.
The principal mourners were: Mair (wife); Graham (son); Colin and Alison (son and partner); Cadi and Mathew (grandchildren); Gladys Powell (sister); Edna and Ray Stracey (niece and husband); Allen and Anne Powell (nephew and wife); Marc and Caroline Powell (great-nephew and wife); Ceri Powell (great-nephew); together with cousins and friends too numerous to mention. Goodwick
The death occurred peacefully at Parc-y-Llyn Nursing Home, Ambleston on Saturday, June 6th, of Brian Thomas (Bomber) Hughes, of 9 Min-y-Rhos, Llanwnda, Goodwick, after a battle against cancer. He was 59.
A large gathering of family and friends attended the funeral on Thursday, June 11th, at St Peter’s Church, Goodwick, followed by interment at Llanwnda Cemetery, which was recognition of the high esteem in which Bomber was held in the local community.
The service was officiated by Rev Brian Barnes who was assisted by Rev Emlyn Jones.
Principal mourners are: Eric and Ann Hughes (brother and sister-in-law); Glenys Hughes (sister); Ron Hughes (brother); Mark and Tanya Havard (niece and husband); Kevin Hughes and Zoe McClelland (nephew and fiancée); Timothy Hughes and Leanne Rees (nephew and partner); Mwynlan Hughes and Lily Edward (aunties); together with other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The bearers were Ken Bean, Tony Jones, Russell Jones, Arthur Aylward, Kevin Hughes and Timothy Hughes.

Narberth
The funeral took place at Parc Gwyn Crematorium on May 22nd of Margaret (Peggy) Cole, of Croft Villas, Narberth, who died at her home on May 14th. She was 90.
Peggy was born in Spring Gardens, Narberth, the youngest of ten children.
She was a widow for 44 years, her late husband Ronnie Cole being organist and choirmaster at Tabernacle Chapel.
She was a faithful member of Tabernacle and spent many years involved there.
She was a member of the Royal British Legion and for many years a poppy collector.
She was also a member of Narberth WI.
The family left to mourn were: Margaret and Geraldine (daughters); Adrian, Andrew and Matthew (grandsons); Tabitha (great granddaughter); Crystal (Adrian’s partner); Ian Murray, Jill and Tom Wakes, Jenny and Robert Kinghorn, Judith Hurford, Chris Ellis and great nephews and nieces too numerous to mention.
The service was led by Rev Elwyn John and the bearers were Adrian, Andrew and Matthew Jenkins (grandsons), Alan Hallwood, John Phillips (neighbours) and D Morris.
There were family flowers only, and the funeral arrangements were carried out by Hywel Evans, Narberth.
