MARLENE DAVIES Pembroke Marlene Davies of Cooks Close, Pembroke, passed away peacefully with family and friends at Withybush Hospital on September 12th. She was 65 and fought her illness with courage, dignity and was an inspiration to others.

Marlene was born in Pembroke Dock and was the first triplet (Perry Triplets) born in Pembrokeshire. She attended Albion Square and Coronation School, went to work in Morgans Lady Outfitters, Morgans Borough Stores (both in Bush St) David Evans Grocery Shop and Cecil Davies Grocery Shop (both in Meyrick St). Later on in life she worked as a checkout operator in Somerfield, Pembroke.

Marlene was a fun person who enjoyed a good laugh and her great passion was her home and family. Devoted wife, loving mother to Jane and Steven and a caring nanny to nine grandchildren.

Her popularity was shown by a very large gathering of family, friends and neighbours attending the funeral, which took place on September 21st at St Johns Church, Pembroke Dock, officiated by Rev Michael Butler. The lesson was read by Mr Bradley Perry (triplet brother), a poem about Dying by Bishop Brent was read by Mrs Denise Mason (step daughter) and a tribute was read by Ross Davies (husband). This was followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn officiated by Rev Michael Butler and Rev Canon Geoffrey Gwyther.

The bearers was Mr Cledwyn Davies, Mr David Griffiths, Mr Rhodri Morgan and Mr Arthur Nicholas.

Unable to attend the funeral were Brenda and Hermman Schlender (sister and brother in law), Mr Jeremy Gullam, (nephew) and Mr Owain Perry (nephew).

The family left to mourn are Ross Davies (husband), Jane and Tony Hunt (daughter and son in law), Steven (son), Denise and Ian Mason (stepdaughter and son in law), Samantha and Rhodri Morgan (stepdaughter and son in law), Nathan, Jamie, Ryan, Terianne, Leonni, Thomas, Seren, Daniel and Ben (grandchildren), Pauline and Keith Williams (sister and brother in law), Brenda and Hermann Schlender (sister and brother in law), Bradley and Ann Perry (triplet brother and sister in law), Margaret and John Dade (triplet sister and brother in law), Diana Doherty (sister), Cledwyn and Suzanne Davies (brother in law and sister in law). Deborah, Della, Karin, Owain, Janet, Jeremy, Amanda Katie, Rhys, Rhodri and Catrin (nieces and nephews), Mary Clark and Janet Pannell (two best friends).

There were family flowers only, with donations if desired to Ward 10 Withybush and the Paul Sartori Foundation. These may be sent to John Roberts and Son, 51 Bush Street, Pembroke Dock who also carried out the funeral arrangements. Alan Badham Merlins Bridge The passing of Alan occurred, after many years of illness, occurred peacefully at his home on September 19th. The son of Megan and Stuart, brother to Gillian, Margaret, and Steven, Alan first met his wife Dawn when he was 17. They married when he was 20 years old and they spent 41 happy years together. They had two children Lisa and Graham. Graham has given them four lovely grandchildren Jamie, Jay, Ieuan and Ewan.

Alan started his working life as a farm hand, and went on to work in the building trade, and then spent 10 years working at Bolton Hill Quarry in a number of different roles. Alan, as a young man, was very fit and active and had a keen interest in arm-wrestling as those who know him from old will remember. He had many hobbies and interests, such as attending vintage shows with his stationary engines, and restoring old dye-cast toys.

To Dawn he was her rock. He cared for her, after her accident, for over 30 years even though he was unwell himself. To his children he was a loving and very supportive Dad. To Dawn's mum and dad, Lena and Walter, whom he loved dearly, he was always there when they needed him. To all of his family and friends, he was somebody you could call on for anything and he would never ask for anything in return. He gave easily of his time and nothing was ever too much trouble.

The family would very much like to thank all who attended his funeral service on September 27th and for their kind donations. The service, presided over by Revd Father Paul Mackness, was held at St Thomas a Beckett Church in Haverfordwest. The donations, made in lieu of flowers, will be made to the Children's Ward at Withybush Hospital, c/o K.E.D. Badham.

Rev. & Mrs T Elwyn Williams The funeral service of Rev T Elwyn Williams and Mrs Enid Williams took place at Bethlehem Chapel Spittal followed by, internment at Croesgoch cemetery on September 6th 2011. Officiated by Rev Paul Davies and assisted by Rev. Gwyn Rogers, Rev Peter Thomas and Rev. Eirian Wyn Lewis.

Many friends and family attended the funeral to pay tribute to them both.

They were natives of Anglesey and members of Hebron Chapel. Their ministry started in Ffrwd Mountain Ash, followed by a calling to Moreia Meinciau and Salem Four Roads, Calfaria Penygroes, Croesgoch, Calfaria Login and Ramoth Cwmfelin, Adulam Felinfoel and Salem Llangennech. They retired after over 50 years in the ministry to Haverfordwest to be near their daughters and families.

They were caring parents to Eleanor and Eunice and to their sons in law Alun and John. They were very proud grandparents and great grandparents.

Family left to mourn are Eleanor and Alun, Eunice and John.

Eurig and Anne Claire, Wendy and Martyn, Rebecca and Lee, Mathew and Rhinedd [grandchildren] Lowri, Malo & Eloane, Mia Haf & Gethin, and Cadi.[great grandchildren] John and Ruth Evans [nephew] Adam & Lee Evans{great nephews] Barbra Owen, Stephanie Jeffries, Tecwyn & Rosemary Jones [cousins].There were family flowers only with donations to Ward 10 trust fund & Paul Sartori Foundation., sent to Mr David Price Croesgoch Mrs Beautrice John Milford Haven Mrs Beatrice John of Canterbury House, Priory Road, Milford Haven died at her home on September 23rd. She was 91.

Beatrice was a housewife and enjoyed bingo.

Her husband Sydney John predeceased her in 1975.

The family left to mourn and principal mourners were Joyce and Clive (daughter and son-in-law); John and Claire, Mark and Erin, Adam and Paula (grandsons and wives); Connor, Bridie, Sheilane and Shandice (great grandchildren); Connie and David Morris, Margaret Jones, Margaret and Peter Evans (nieces and nephews).

Unable to attend Mark and Erin (Australia).

The service was held at the Chapel of Rest, Milford Haven followed by Cremation at Parc Gwyn, Narberth and was officiated by Rev Martyn Evans.

There were family flowers only and the funeral arrangements were carried out by Tom Newing and Sons Ltd, Milford Haven.

Mrs R M Jeffrie (known as Moira) Haverfordwest Mrs Ruth Moira Jeffrie of Milward Close died on August 28th aged 86 years. She was orginally from John O'Groats.

She leaves to mourn her husband Adam, and nine children - Ruth and Cliff (daughter and partner), Lori and Joan (son and wife), Peter and Marie (son and wife), Laura and Geoff (daughter and partner), Keith and Pauline (son and wife), June and Barry (daughter and husband), Ann and Willy (daughter and partner), Barry and Jean (son and wife), Terry and Sue (son and wife) and extended family.

The funeral service was held at Narberth Crematorium on September 5th officiated by Harry Williams. The bearers were Kevin Fox, John Rees, Emrys Stephens, and Willy Ryan.

There were family flowers only with donations to Withybush Babycare Unit, c/o Brian Griffiths, Services Club, Quay Street, Haverfordwest.

The funeral arrangements were carried out by Roy Folland and Son, Haverfordwest.
