The Torch Theatre in Milford is preparing to host a unique event this afternoon (Tuesday), a performance of scripts written and edited by Pembrokeshire young people.
Actors from the torch youth theatre, will perform a series of pieces written by the young writers squad and developed by theatre director Dave Ainsworth.
The young writers squad was established by Pembrokeshire County Council's library service with the aim of developing the writing skills of youngsters in the area.
The squad consists of pupils at Greenhill School, Pembroke, Sir Thomas Picton and Tasker Milward.
The squad has been meeting regularly at Haverfordwest library, working with professional writer Dan Anthony on the theme of "In the Neighbourhood".
Councillor Rob Lewis praised the group's creativity: "The young people of Pembrokeshire have produced excellent ideas that they have developed into quality performance material."
Earlier this year, the squad took part in poetry and music workshops on Arriva trains with writer Dylan Adams, to promote journeys around Pembrokeshire by rail.
Today's performance starts at 5pm it will last for around an hour in the studio theatre and tickets are free.
To find out more about the squad contact young people's librarian Pam Harry on 01437 776 089.
