A ROADSHOW is coming to west Wales tonight (Wednesday) focusing on lamb health and finishing systems.
Farming Connect, Hybu Cig Cymru and Zoetis are hosting the roadshow, which will offer an opportunity to discuss best practice and highlight the benefits and drawbacks of various lamb finishing systems.
The events will highlight forage-based finishing systems, health issues that could potentially stunt growth rates, and the importance of carefully monitoring lamb performance and costs to ensure best returns.
Dave Armstrong, of Zoetis, will discuss ‘Endoparasite challenge for growing lambs and control options’, Kate Phillips, of ADAS will discuss lamb health issues, and sheep consultant Catherine Nakielny will focus on finishing lambs on forage. Each presentation will be followed by a question and answer session.
The roadshow is taking place at Penrallt Farm, Llantood, Cardigan, at 6.30pm. Contact facilitator Menna Williams on 07896 837725 or menna.williams@menterabusnes.co.uk.
