As the temperature soared at this years Royal Welsh Show in Llanelwedd, Pembrokeshire Young Farmers' showed they were able to handle the heat, and the pressure as they competed in numerous competitions throughout the week.

Before the show had even begun, Fishguard YFC were busy setting up their club exhibit as they showcased The Queen under the theme 'through the decades' on the Sunday. Fishguard were awarded 6th place out of 12.

Llawhaden YFC's Emily Jones and Hannah Bradbury then scooped first place in the cookery competition with the theme, a romantic anniversary dinner.

Scott Davies from Hermon YFC was the winner of the under 21 pig stock judging competition, and overall the Pembrokeshire pig stockjudging team of Scott Davies, Marged Simons, Amy Wallace and Charlotte Wilson came third.

Keyston YFC then showed their dancing prowess in the dance competition with their Wild West and Second World War themed dances.

The tug of war competition, always well supported and fiercely competed showed Pembrokeshire YFC had the grunt as Keyston YFC won the men's and Hermon YFC came second in the ladies, meaning Pembrokeshire were crowned overall tug of war champions.

Hannah Bradbury once again tasted success, winning the under 16 sheep stockjudging with another Llawhaden member Robert Coney coming second in the under 26. The Pembrokeshire team of Robert Coney, Hannah Bradbury, Simon Snape and Kieran Haycocks came third overall in the sheep stockjudging.

There was also success for the blind sheepdog team of Daniel Tulley and Jack Burchmore who came third.
