J.J. Morris report another large entry in the sheep section, with more than 1,300 lambs and 350 ewes forward. The lambs sold well, with a top price of 150p per kilo, and averaging 143.6p per kilo. Store lambs, as in previous weeks, met a buoyant trade, with the best topping at £56. Cull ewes sold well for all quality, with the best peaking at £84.

A good entry in the store cattle section, the best steers reaching a top price of £910 and heifers to £830. The barren cow and overage cattle sold well too, with the best reaching a maximum of £1,100. Calves, again, were in good demand, with the best bull calf peaking at £285 and heifer at £248.

Dai Lewis Auctioneers report a seasonal entry forward in all sections (160). Barrens saw a fast run throughout with beef types peaking at 160p/kg and averaging at 120p/kg. Dairy types averaged at 100p/kg and peaked at 113 p/kg. A special entry of cows and calves sold to a brisk run as did stores and weaned calves. Both stock bulls also sold to a fast trade.
