J. J. Morris reports: Due to weather conditions, there was a smaller entry forward. There was a good trade overall, with the store lamb section taking top honours, with the best pen topping at £86.50, and averaging £55.50.

Cull ewes sold well once again, the best pen peaked at £90.

J. J. Morris reports: There was a wintry feel to the first market of the new year, with most of the country under snow, stock entries were low, but for the producers who did venture out, the stock sold to a fast trade.

Prime lambs sold to a top price of 188.3p per kilo, the overall average was 181.8p.

Cull ewes, once again, sold to a brisk trade, with the best peaking at £100, and averaging £63.50. With only six cull cows on offer, the best peaked at £635. The best bull calves topped at £250, and heifers peaked at £150.
