The heat has been on this summer as members of Pembrokeshire YFC have raced through a packed calendar of sporting competitions.

South Pembs YFC kept up their good strike rate in the ten pin bowling, winning the competition for the second time on the trot, along with emerging top of the pots in the pool competition, while Tiers Cross YFC once again repeated their success in the darts contest.

Tiers Cross kept up their winning run at the county sports day held at Sir Thomas Picton School, Haverfordwest, by winning the football competition, with Llawhaden YFC having good runs in the kwik cricket and netball competitions to emerge victorious, and Llysyfran YFC winning the hockey tournament.

Llawhaden went on to make it six of the best in the sevens rugby competition held at Haverfordwest RFC, taking the title for the sixth year running. With an excellent entry of eight teams, Llawhaden made it through their pool to overcome Tiers Cross in the final.

Less than a week later, the same two clubs faced each other in the final of the indoors sports competition, with Llawhaden once again taking top honours.

The winning teams represent Pembrokeshire at the Wales YFC sports day in Brecon and the Royal Welsh Show in July.
