That’s show business!

There’s been no business like show business for members of Pembrokeshire YFC this summer.

Once again, the Pembrokeshire County Show was the perfect opportunity to showcase everything that the YFC movement has to offer.

As well as traditional competitions, such as cookery, floral art, craft and stockjudging, youth forum members took part in a fundraising ‘row to Ireland’ and the ‘chopstick challenge’ proved as popular as ever.

County organiser Dill Williams said: “As well as competitions for our members and being a great place for past members and friends to meet, we try to encourage potential young farmers to discover more about the benefits of being involved in such a great youth organisation.

“However, none of it would be possible without the continued generous support of the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society, who provide us with our pitch, for which we are always extremely grateful.”

The County Show followed some showstopping performances from members at the Royal Welsh Show.

Stealing the show were the rugby sevens winners from Hermon YFC, who overcame Brecknock in a showpiece final, with Tomi Jones also named man of the match.

Also taking home some impressive silverware was Non Thorne, of Tiers Cross YFC, who won the under-21 section of the Hereford cattle stockjudging.
