Goodwick win mid-table clash
12:00pm Friday 23rd November 2012 in Sport
Goodwick United 3
Narberth 2
Goodwick United won by the odd goal in five against rivals Narberth at Phoenix Park.
The hosts got off to a dream start when Rhys Dalling scored with barely five minutes on the clock.
Kieran O’Brien added a second as the midfielder latched onto a good cross from the left by Johnny Horgan. Sean Pemberton pulled a goal back to make 2-1 at half-time.
Midway through the second period and Stephen Evans cracked in his side’s third, but the visitors refused to give in as Jordan Williams pulled back a goal four minutes from full time.
Goodwick held on for their fourth win of the season, but Dalling received a straight red card for retaliating after being fouled to finish the game on a sour note.
