Narberth 2

Monkton Swifts 0

Narberth made home advantage count as they grabbed two goals in the second half to gain a hard-fought victory over Monkton Swifts.

The Swifts dropped down from second to third spot, and Narberth are fourth, just a point behind the visitors.

Both sides squandered scoring chances in the first period, as it remained goalless at the break.

But whoever scored first would probably go on and win it, and that’s exactly what happened as the Bluebirds broke the deadlock on 61 minutes.

Striker Jordan Williams reacted quickest in the box to drill home from eight yards.

Ten minutes from full time Williams added his second goal of the game, the striker rounding keeper Lance Creese and putting the result out of reach for Benno Jones’ Swifts.
