5:00pm Wednesday 9th January 2013 in Sport
Cardiff City and Wales Under-21 goalkeeper coach Lee Kendall is offering a free ‘goalkeeper clinic’ for potential keepers from Pembrokeshire to attend.
The former Cardiff City, Crystal Palace, Shrewsbury Town keeper is running the free ‘goalkeeper clinic’ for youngsters at Haverfordwest County FC on Sunday, January 27th from 10am till noon. Spaces are limited and will be issued on a first come first served basis.
Kendall spent five happy seasons with Haverfordwest County; he captained the Bluebirds in the UEFA Cup in 2004, the only time they qualified in the club’s history.
He also holds the club record for number of clean sheets kept in a season.
Kendall has now turned to coaching and holds the highest qualification in the country as a goalkeeper coach, he is one of only four Welsh goalkeepers to hold an A licence.
He has a strong connection with the area, and is holding the session free of charge for boys and girls aged from 7-16.
Kendall has a huge knowledge of the game, and currently coaches at professional and international level.
He is on the look out to find goalkeepers from the county to fulfil their true potential.
Parents, coaches, managers and clubs wanting to send anyone on the course can contact Lee on lee kendall321@hotmail.co.uk leaving name and age, or for further information telephone 07947 807411.
