Solva pay penalty as Sean hits treble

Solva 0

Narbereth 6

Sean Pemberton grabbed a brilliant hattrick for Narberth, who easily took care of troubled Solva by scoring six goals without reply at Maes-y-Mor.

The visitors picked up their seventh win of the season, as poor old Solva suffered their 16th defeat and returned to the bottom of the table. After this dreadful result, relegation is a distinct possibility, as pressure mounts and they are fast running out of matches.

Morgan Preece headed in the opener, before Pemberton scored from the penalty spot to give the Bluebirds a two-goal cushion at half time.

The second period was one-way traffic as the visitors dominated possession and territory, scoring four further goals.

Jordan Richards buried the third and Pemberton added a fourth, blasting his second penalty high into the net. Jordan Williams made no mistake with goal number five, and Pemberton completed his treble with a cracking shot from long range that left Chris Davies with no chance.

Peter Cole’s Solva outfit have another home game this week when Pennar Robins are the visitors in another crucial six-pointer.

Narberth don’t have a game this week and will give them an opportunity to get over knocks and finish strong at the end of the season.
