Danny boy grabs late winner

Neyland 1
Monkton Swifts 2
Daniel Scourfield bagged an 80th minute winner to send Monkton Swifts up to third in the table at the expense of Neyland, who lie in eighth.
The Swifts were totally humiliated by league leaders Hakin last week, but Benno Jones’ Swifts responded with a hard-fought victory over the Nomads.
The visitors took the lead on 15 minutes, Matthew Davies latching onto a cross from the right and striking a low shot that took a slight deflection and beat keeper Patrick Hannon.
The visitors held onto a slender onegoal cushion at half time.
Niall Day equalised for the Nomads on 70 minutes, the striker burying his scoring opportunity after latching onto a cross inside the box from the left.
But Scourfield had the final say, as a kind bounce in the box fell to him and was lashed home from eight yards, getting the Swifts back on winning track.
