Billy is Tenby’s hero
11:00am Thursday 21st February 2013 in Sport
St Ishmaels 3
Tenby 7
Billy Vaughan was Tenby’s goal scoring hero with four as St Ishmaels failed to get to grips with them.
“No excuses, we were awful,” said disappointed Tish boss Robbie Thomas.
“We never competed and gave away some soft goals.”
Gareth Fawcett gave Tish the lead, but the visitors struck back with two goals from Vaughan to lead 2-1 at the interval.
After the break Tish leaked further goals through Vaughan, who added two more, and Callum Proctor and a Sam Christopher brace brought up seven.
Tish replied with goals from Andrew Howells and substitute Brennan Findlay, but on the day it was no more than what Tenby deserved.
