Vikings win at Seaside
10:43am Thursday 21st February 2013 in Sport
Saundersfoot Sports 1
Hakin United 3
League leaders Hakin United scored twice in the second half to finally end a spirited display from Saundersfoot Sports.
This was not an easy affair as Sam Coleman’s Sports outfit put in a dogged performance and they didn’t give the Vikings the space to play their normal free-flowing football.
James Stanmore struck the opener with barely five minutes on the clock.
However, 20 minutes later and Danny Caine equalised, the midfielder heading home a welldelivered free kick in the box.
Midway through the second period and Vikings’ lively striker Justin Harding looped a header over keeper Ben Evans for his side’s second.
Five minutes before full time and the visitors were awarded a penalty that centre back Steve Allen lashed home to secure the all-important points.
