Bragging rites for Robins
1:30pm Thursday 21st February 2013 in Sport
Pennar Robins 1
Monkon Swifts 0
Wayne Brunton’s solitary first-half goal earned Pennar Robins the bragging rites over close neighbours Monkton Swifts.
“The score does not reflect how well we played,”
said Robins manager Jimmy Probert. “I don’t think our keeper had a decent save to make all afternoon and we missed some good scoring opportunities.”
This was only the Robins’ fourth win of the campaign as they sit uncomfortably third from bottom.
The only goal was scored on 30 minutes when Brunton played a neat onetwo with Dean Lawrence and then slotted in to the far corner.
