Swifts stunned by Narberth’s early goals
11:00am Friday 22nd March 2013 in Sport
Monkton Swifts 0
Narberth 4
Narberth's impressive winning steak continued at fourth placed Monkton Swifts.
The visitors scored three goals in the opening 20 minutes to stun the Swifts.
Jordan Richards rifled home from 20 yards for the opener on the five-minute mark.
Morgan Preece’s set piece in the box saw Richard Henton header past Lance Creese.
Gavin Rees also powered home a header at a corner five minutes later that gave the Bluebirds a three-goal cushion at half time.
The damage had been done and there was no way back for Benno Jones’ shellshocked Swifts, and to add insult to injured pride, the visitors added a well-taken fourth goal scored in second period by Jordan Williams to secure the points on the road.
