WINNER of ‘bring a prize win a prize’ at Rosemarket Golf Club held on Saturday was Jon McKnight with 38pts, runner-up was Adam Rogers 37pts, third John McLean 36pts beating Mark McCormack on count back. Fifth was Gary Lloyd 35pts. Twos winner was Clive Richards on hole seven.
Junior winners were Michael Strand 20pts, Amber Deakin 19pts, Tom Brown 21pts and Tom Strand 29pts.The Winter League winner on Sunday was Adam Rogers 36pts, runner-up Marcus Fryer 34pts beating Frank Bradley on count back. Fourth Alex James 33pts, fifth Mark McCormack 32pts. Current standings in the winter league are Adam Rogers 84pts Kevin Holmes and Gary Lloyd 83pts Jock Wilson 76pts and Paul Bowen 70pts.
It may be a nine-hole course but when played twice has all the attributes of superb 18-hole course and the par of 73 should indicate just that.
Besides its length, the challenge is made somewhat greater by the inclusion of several sand traps and strategically placed water hazards.
