On the ball to raise money for Games

First published in Sport

WALES Ladies' National hockey team is already world class in standard - with a realistic aim of being consistently ranked among the top 10 national teams in Europe.

The only thing that is really holding them back is funding.

However, the ladies hockey team has received a huge helping hand from Charity Dream It Believe It Achieve It, who have pledged to help them raise the money they need and have already donated a sizeable amount themselves.

Dream It Believe It Achieve It are organising a ball to raise more funds to secure the team’s training success on their journey to the Commonwealth Games.

The Dare to Dream Ball will take place at the Celtic Royal Hotel in Newport on March 8. The squad is hoping to raise as much money as possible so that this big team from a small country can achieve their dreams and fulfil their potential in the Commonwealth Games 2014 and the European Championships in 2015.

Anyone interested in going to the ball can telephone 01829 733953. Or if you would like to send a donation to the team please go to their fundraising web page http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/LadiesWelshHockeyTeam2014.
