Hundleton 2

St Ishmaels 0

TWO first half goals secured Hundleton a sweet victory over fellow basement strugglers St Ishmaels.

This was only Hundleton’s second win of the season and has condemned Tish to the foot of the table as they swapped places.

Hundleton manager Jamie Stanley said: “It’s been a long time coming, but this win was vital if we are going to have any chance of staying in this division.”

Hundleton have nine games left to play and are four points behind third from bottom Saundersfoot Sports.

“We just need to believe in ourselves,” added Stanley.

Jason Donahoe struck the opener on the 20 minute mark, a neat finish from inside the box. Ten minutes later and Craig Manning added a second with a sweetly struck 15-yard volley.

Goalkeeper Dan Griffiths pulled off some important saves to deny the visitors and Tish have ten games left, but this defeat will feel like a dagger in the heart of their manger Marc Devonald.
