Ladies

THERE was no competition over the weekend for the Ladies’ Section but on Tuesday, April 8th there was a change to the ladies regular Tuesday competition, when they played a friendly match with St. David’s ladies.

St Davids could only field six players, with the Milford ladies, a total of 18 played. The format was a Texas Scramble with teams of three and each team comprised two Milford Ladies and one St David’s lady to even out the numbers.

It was a very successful day and enjoyed by all the ladies. The winning team was Barbara Phillips, Liz Durward and Pat Garner who were presented with a bottle of wine each from the lady captain Pat Evans.

Seniors

LAST Tuesday, the seniors played their weekly stableford competition which is normally played on a Thursday, but as the seniors was scheduled to play at St David’s City Golf Club on the Thursday the day was switched; this is done throughout the season when matches are played on Thursdays; the only difference is that the Tuesdays stableford roll up competitions do not qualify for Colin Reynolds points.

On a lovely day for golf with a slight breeze and the course improving day by day it was disappointing that only 17 players turned up for the roll up.

The winner of the competition was club captain Gwyn Scale who seems to have hit good form since his recent retirement; with 36 points.
