Haverfordwest (187 for 3) beat St Ishmaels (107 all out)

HAVERFORDWEST stay top of the table, just ahead of champions Neyland, after comfortably beating St Ishmaels at a wind-swept Racecourse.

Ben Field (30) and Simon Holliday (66 not out) gave The Town a good start as they put on 53 for the first wicket before Field fell having stroked four fours – and then Dai Davies showed what an asset he is on his return to the club with a classic 61 (eight fours and a six) as he also made Holliday scamper between the wickets, Holliday carried his bat having hit three boundaries in an excellent score against useful bowling by Andrew Williams (2 for 34) and Jordan Milich (1 for 31).

Tish got off to a bad start as they crashed to 4 for 2 and only Jonathan Pawlett (15) managed double figures against a fiery Adam James (6 for 19), Josh Wilment (2 for 28), Holliday (1 for 3) and Clive Tucker (1 for 17). It looked all over for Tish at 79 for 9 but Phil Cockburn (30) batted really well alongside last man Kevin Bowen before they finally fell by 80 runs.
