Saundersfoot (121 for 5) drew with Llanrhian (146 for 7)

SAUNDERSFOOT managed to hang on for a draw at home to Llanrhian, who had struggled at the start but managed 146 for 7 in their allotted 38 overs before the Seasiders also found it hard going in the batting stakes.

Gareth Davies (24), Matthew Arundel (17) and Like Jones (11) helped Llanrhian to 95 for 6 in 30 overs but then Scott James (23 not out) joined Scott James in a stand of 53 in eight overs before Jones was caught and bowled from the final ball of the innings, a run short of what would have been an excellent half century.

Nick Cope (2 for 29), Sam Franklyn (1 for 27), Morgan Slate (1 for 16) and Jack Franklyn (1 for 41) were the Saundersfoot wicket-takers and Cope also chipped in with 40 alongside Paul Mansbridge (39) and Simon Wood (22) as the principal run-getters but Gareth Davies (3 for 49), Matthew Bennett (1 for 11) and Luke Jones (1 for 20) limited their scoring opportunities as Llanrhian gained the bulk of the draw points.

Umpires: Rob Bellerby & Peter Perry.

Scorer: Geraint Morris (Llanrhian).
