Narberth (109 all out) lost to Cresselly (110 for 7)

STEFAN ‘Boxer’ Jenkins and Simon Cole used their experience to good effect in a low-scoring match at the Lewis Lloyd Ground as Jenkins bowled superbly for his 7 for 27 and Cole’s undefeated 37 helped Cresselly pick up a three-wicket win over Narberth.

That the match went ahead was a tribute to the hard work of Chris Richards and his ground staff before Marc Hughes topped the home batting with his classy 35 (two fours and three big sixes) alongside Kyle Quartermaine (19) and Nathan Lloyd (16) against Jenkins, Mike Shaw (1 for 22), Lyn Richards (1 for 35) and Tom Arthur (1 for 21).

Useful bowling by Ian Hughes (2 for 32), Ben Quartermaine (2 for 12), Sean Coaker (2 for 34) and Kamal Sharma (1 for 22) kept Narberth in with a chance as Mark Shaw (26) and Nick Davies (16) made contributions before Cole eased Cresselly home by three wickets.
