Johnston (230 for 9) beat Hook (129 all out) by 101 runs

JOHNSTON maintained their winning streak at the top of the table and marginally increased their advantage over the chasing clubs as they achieved maximum points over neighbours Hook.

Johnston batsmen Dan Sutton (28), Steve Mills (31), John Summons (39), Chris Fitzpatrick (22) and Rhys Dalling (33) all made useful contributions as Johnston sped past 200 and settled on 230 for 9.

Jamie Phelps (3 for 19), Matthew Holder (2 for 47), Andrew Thomas (2 for 40), Wayne Griffiths (1 for 17) and Brennan Martin (1 for 39) were the Hook wicket-takers.

Tom Blaxland batted well for Hook and reached 66 (13 fours and a six) before he was last out, bowled by Chris Fitzpatrick (2 for 23), but only David Hopkins (22) ever stayed very long against Steve Mills (3 for 27), Paul Hood (1 for 32) and especially Lee Summons, who returned the best figures of the match in his 4 for 11 haul.
