OLIVER Simon will take a 17-minute lead into today's final stage of the Tenby Long Course Weekend, the 26.2 mile marathon run.

Simon, who was also the fastest athlete in Friday's swim, completed the 112-mile cycling leg yesterday in a time of 5:21:25, for an overall time thus far of 6:05:26.

Dominic Rohan-Gates lies second, after posting a time 05:29:18, giving him an overall time of 06:22:40.

Richard Wilder is just 11 seconds behind Rohan-Gates in third after a cycle time of 5:24:49.

The marathon will begin today at 10am, with the runners setting off from Tudor Square, Tenby.

The presentations are scheduled to commence at 4.30pm, and large crowds are expected to line the streets throughout the day.
