Neyland (70 for 1) beat Whitland (66 all out) by nine wickets

NEYLAND maintained their winning streak at the top of the table as they proved far too strong for a makeshift Whitland side which slumped to 30 for 5 and struggled thereafter as they could only must 66 all out.

It was never going to be enough to trouble a strong Neyland batting line-up and the home side, aware of the dangers of approaching rain, knocked off the runs in only 9.3 overs.

Paul Davies (16) and Owain Evans (15) top scored for Whitland and there were also bare double figures for Dan James and Mark Lee as Nathan Banner again led the Neyland attack with splendid figures of 5 for 12.

Banner troubled all the Whitland batsmen and had good support from Patrick Hannon (2 for 18), Gary Lloyd (1 for 20), Henry Durrant (1 for 6) and Andrew Miller.

Neyland lost Nick Koomen for 11, bowled by Mark Lee, but then Paul Murray was joined by Durrant in knocking off the runs in double quick time. Murray had four fours and a six in his 35 not out and Durrant ended up undefeated on 15 to help keep their side well clear at the top.
