NEYLAND and District Sea Angling Club members old and new met at Amroth to fish the beach, and the weather was perfect, fishing 1pm till 6pm.

Anglers were soon in to fish with most bringing good bags back to the scales, once the measuring and weighing had been completed it was Keith Williams who took the top spot for the first time this year, with the heaviest bag showing the boys that the golden oldie has still got it, he also won the pool for the heaviest fish.

Tom O’Brian was close behind to take second prize and caught some fine red Gurnard in his bag. Alan James was third with his bag to finish the seniors line up, the junior winner with two nice red gurnard was new member Lorna Bevan, showing dad Darren how it’s done, and well done to all the winners.

The club thanks adjudicators Bernie Davies, Bob South.

The next match is on Saturday, October 11 at Dale Griffin beach - fishing 5pm till 10pm. Members are reminded that cups and trophies must be handed back at the next club meeting on Thursday, October 2.
