Johnston 1
Neyland 1
BOTH Johnston and Neyland had to be content with a draw following this clash at Glebelands.
The visitors opened the scoring midway through the first period; striker Leigh Power’s shot-cum-cross sailed over Tigers’ keeper Joel Codd.
The equaliser was scored in the 65th minute. Steven Mills’ long range shot evaded stand-in Nomads’ keeper Ollie Marshall.
Both teams tried to win it in the final third of the game. Goal scorer Leigh Power had a header from six yards saved by Codd and the effort was cleared off the line.
Right at the death Adam Hawkins rounded keeper Marshall, then fired a left footed shot goal wards, only for it to be desperately cleared off the line by a Neyland defender.
This Saturday, Neyland entertain St Clears and Johnston don’t have a fixture.
