Hello everyone. Hope you've all had a good weekend, mine wasn't the best.

I wrote to you last week saying that I hoped to be writing to you after a huge win against Ulster away - well I'm gutted to tell you that we didn't. Those of you who watched the game will know that we lost 24-6 to the Irish team and it wasn't a great night for Scarlets supporters and players.

The game was a bit of a weird one, we seemed like we couldn't get anything going and I'm not making excuses, most of it was because of our own mistakes. I am bitterly disappointed and haven't had that feeling that I did walking off the pitch in a long while, it will certainly take me a few days to get my head around. Saying that, I came home from a long trip to Ireland to see the other two teams in our group battle it out - Leicester v Toulon. With Toulon obviously being the favourites I thought they would win but I was wrong, one of my old teammates Owen Williams steered Leicester Tigers to victory with a very impressive kicking display.

So this means that we still have a very strong chance if we win this week of going through to the last 8 as everyone in the group has lost at least one game. Today (Monday) we've got a non training day so I'm about to go and do a bit of recovery and have a little swim and a stretch in Haverfordwest Leisure Centre and also try and get over this massive disappointment of the weekend and look forward to this week.

For those of you who didn't know, we are playing Ulster again this week but this time on our own patch at Parc y Scarlets, and the boys will most definitely be gunning to get a result to put last week behind us. I have heard there are a lot of supporters planning on coming up to cheer us on this Sunday, and we're going to need it more than ever.

So if you’re at a loose end on Sunday evening stroll on up to Llanelli to support us boys; it's only an hour up the road. Anyway folks - I know I haven't been my usual buoyant self this week and I do apologise but hopefully next week we can have the old Rob back after a massive performance next Sunday.

I hope you are all well and getting the log burners lit as there has definitely been some seriously cold days in Pembrokeshire this week. Anyway catch you next week.

Take care and be safe, Rob.
