The winner with an excellent 35 points was Karen Pullen with runner up Pearl Slate scoring 27 points. There were no twos so the money carries over for next time.

Juniors

LAST Tuesday a competition for boys was held at the request of the Dyfed County Coach, so 14 competitors played a stableford. Some excellent scoring, and a note that four boys played their first 18 hole competition - acquitting themselves very well. The presentation was carried out by Club Captain Gwyn French.

Winner - Abe Forsyth (42 pts)

Runner -up - Ben Fawcett (38 pts).

Abe, who is a member of the Welsh Junior Coaching set up, had his handicap reduced from 10 to 9 (great way to start the season).

A Pre-season get together was held last Friday by The South Wales Girls Golf Association, and Milford Haven was represented by Hollie Jenkins, who impressed the coaches and has been invited to participate with the Carmarthenshire Group at Mychyns Golf Club.

Last Saturday, Hollie put the previous days experience to good use by winning the 7 hole competition - played by some very dedicated golfers in the bitter cold - well done all!

Also on Saturday the 'Senior' juniors played a Two-ball Texas scramble with the winners were Captain Josh Lewis and Harley Holmes. This Saturday will be the final week of the winter match play, with several players in with a chance of winning - so a play-off may be required.

Pro's coaching continues this Saturday for Junior Members - contact pro shop if you’re not already in this scheme.
