Pembrokeshire junior cricket round-up:

Under 11s:

Pembrokeshire under 11s bowled first at Kidwelly CC against Camramrthenshire and dismissed their opponents for just 67. Evan Watts (2 for 7), Josh Lewis (3 for 9) and Lewis Miller (2 for 3) had the wickets. Wicket keeper Jamie Goldsworthy also impressed with a good catch and a stumping. The under 11s passed Carmarthenshire's total for the loss of just four wickets with Evan Watts top scoring with 29 not out. The next match is v Eryri on Sunday, June 21 at Cresselly CC, starting at 1pm.
 
Under 13s:

Pembrokeshire under 13s travelled to Neath CC to take on West Glamorgan on Sunday, May 31. A strong West Glamorgan side batted first amassing 205 for 6 in their allotted overs. The county13s battled well but finished short of the total ending on 147 for 8. There were terrific knocks from Will Hughes (41) and skipper George James (60) in the chase - but facing a West Glamorgan bowling attack with two Welsh opening bowlers, the total was always a tough ask. The next match is on Sunday, June 28 vs North East Wales at Saundersfoot CC, starting at 11am.
 
Under 14s:

Pembrokeshire under 14s entertained Eryri (North West Wales) at Haverfordwest Cricket Club on Sunday, May 31. Pembrokeshire captain Lewis Hough won the toss and chose to bat despite the wet conditions and the decision proved inspired as both opening batsmen scored half centuries in a opening stand of 127. John Mansbridge (56) brought his up firs,t closely followed by Jack Nicholas (59).  Some great running between the wickets helped the 14s finish on 186 for 6. Eryri showed great determination in their batting innings but ultimately finished short ending on 124 for 9 with Lewis Hough (2 for 24), Harry Nicholas (3 for 18) and Ryan Morton (3 for 21) all getting amongst the wickets.
The next matches are on June 7, vs Mid Glamorgan at Haverfordwest CC, then away to Carmarthen the following week.
 
 
Under 15s:

Pembrokeshire County U15s played two matches this past week. They first entertained Carmarthenshire at Neyland. Batting first Pembrokeshire were dismissed for just 72 with James Davies (28 not out) top scoring. Carmarthenshire knocked off the total for just the loss of one wicket. 
The U15s bounced back thoug,h beating North East Wales at Burton on Sunday, May 31. Bowling first, Pembrokeshire bowled North East Wales out for 140 with Curtis Hicks claiming three wickets for just 21 runs. Pembrokeshire knocked off the total losing just two wickets with Che Thomas (60 not out) and Geraint Rees (56) both scoring half centuries. A great performance to end the week. The U15s next match is away to Cardiff on Sunday, July 12.
