Kilgetty (160 all out) lost to Narberth (262 for 7) by 102 runs

SECTION leaders Narberth showed that their previous-match defeat by Whitland Seconds was a blip as they travelled to third-placed Kilgetty and produced a powerful all-round tem display that earned them a resounding victory by 102 runs.

Talented opening bat Ritchie Adams got them off to a good start with eight fours in his 75 runs, assisted by Jordan Howell (30), skipper Ben Quartermaine (31), Ben Hughes and especially by a swashbuckling knock from Kyle Quartermaine, whose 88 runs included nine fours and three big sixes.

Toby Poole led the home bowling with 4 for 58 alongside Kyle Marsh (1 for 41), Jack Parkinson (1 for 59) and Andrew Evans (1 for 34) but Narberth ended up on a mammoth 262 for 7 runs.

Poole also top scored with 55 runs (eight fours and a six) and found support from Peter Hall and Tom Lewis (15 apiece), Kyle Marsh (23) and Alistair Evans but good bowling by Jordan Howell (5 for 35) pinned them back well and Ben Quartermaine supported with 4 for 37 and brother Kyle completed another good day with 1 for 18.
