Welsh Premier League:

Port Talbot Town 1-2 Haverfordwest County

A win away from home against a side in the top three was a cracking result for the Bluebirds and was brilliantly complimented by superb goals from Jordan Follows and Luke Borrelli.

Wayne Jones started the game with Jack Christopher and Follows up front and his three other strikers on the bench, continuing the recent rotation.

The opening exchanges were a little scrappy, but the red-clad Blues took the lead after just six minutes with a fine run and strike from Follows, who picked up a long ball out of defence, rounded the keeper and fired in from an oblique angle.

The game soon settled to a pattern of long balls from Port Talbot and closer passing from the Blues. A run from Declan Carroll forced a corner and Jack Christopher set up Kieran Howard for a good shot.

At the other end Scott James made one fine save and Sam Rodon did well to head out after a free kick. The dangerous Cortez Belle, playing at centre forward, threatened for the Steelmen in the 17th minute, but Follows soon responded by coming very close to a second goal only for keeper Steve Cann to thwart him. Christopher put Follows through in a one-on-one but he was narrowly offside - and the final action of the first half saw a fine Ryan Batley overlap threaten the home defence.

Three minutes into the second half, Port Talbot equalised when the prolific Martin Rose, who had come on as sub at half-time, slotted in from close range. For 25 minutes the Bluebirds were battered but they stood firm and began then to take the game to the Steelmen who again started to rely on the long ball from the back. Borrelli replaced Christopher and Spencer Williams replaced Carroll.

In the 60th minute another Rose effort threatened and was cleared to Belle, whose shot was also stifled.

Ten minutes later Jonathan Hood went close with a long-range shot, but in the 77th minute Haverfordwest went back into the lead with a superb opportunist effort from Luke Borrelli, who intercepted a poor pass from Belle, saw Cann well off his line and lobbed him comprehensively.

The Blues survived a penalty shout in the 87th minute but with a minute left Borrelli sent another fine effort just over the bar.

The visitors then played down the three minutes of added time to seal a great win.

Haverfordwest County: Scott James, Ricky Watts, Ryan Batley, Sam Rodon, Sean Pemberton, Greg Walters, Kieran Howard, Nicky Palmer, Declan Carroll (Spencer Williams 52), Jack Christopher (Luke Borrelli, 52), Jordan Follows.
