The eagerly awaited draw for fourth round of the West Wales Intermediate Cup has taken place at the Glen Bar and Restaurant, Haverfordwest.


West Wales Football Association assistant secretary Ceri Richards conducted the draw alongside Pembrokeshire Football League chairperson Rowena Lloyd, and Merlins Bridge AFC chairman Derek Thomas.


Ceri Richards said: “I would like to thank the Glen Hotel and Merlins Bridge Football Club for letting us hold the draw here tonight.”


If Hakin United beat Gorseinon Athletic in a third round tie at The Observatory this Saturday, then they will travel to Phoenix Park for a mouth-watering all Pembrokeshire tie with Goodwick United.


Merlins Bridge entertain Pontarddulais this Saturday in a third round tie at the Racecourse. If the Wizards claim victory their reward will be an away tie in the fourth round at the winners of Seven Sisters versus Morriston Town clash.


If Neyland win against Maltsters Sports on Saturday in the third round, then they The Nomads will travel to Ystradgynlais in the next round.

 

All ties scheduled for this Saturday, are weather permitting.


There was plenty of reaction after the draw as Goodwick United manager Nigel Delaney said: “Games against local rivals Hakin United are always tough affairs, but I’m happy we've got home advantage.”


Hakin United spokesperson Lance Rutherford said: “We have to beat Gorsenion this Saturday before we can think of going to Goodwick in the next round.”


Neyland manager Ian Baker said: “We must beat Malsters Sports before we can concentrate on going to Ystradgynlais for another tough tie.”


When the draw concluded Mr. Richards wished all teams involved all the very best in the competition.
