TWO Fishguard businessmen will be represented in the Greene King IPA RFU Championship next season after agreeing a sponsorship deal with London Welsh.

And as a result, Telegraph Sport readers have the chance to win a brand new home shirt of the famous 'Exiles' club.

The club has announced home improvements building experts London Welsh Developments (LWD) as its new front of shirt sponsor for the 2016/17 season.

The company is run by the duo of Tim Jones and Barrie Nicholas, who set up the business venture in 2011 and have not looked back since.

Before moving to London, Tim and Barrie worked locally as carpenters in the Fishguard area. Tim now lives in Richmond with his wife Lisa and baby Eve, but travels back regularly to see family and friends - and Barrie returns to the area every weekend to see his four boys and wife Maria.

After speaking to the owners both agreed that moving to London and starting up London Welsh Developments was a risk worth taking. In the beginning, it was tough with all the travelling, but as time passed both their reputation grew - with LWD now established as building experts in all aspects of property maintenance and improvement, at their base in Feltham, West London.

After just five years LWD are now the sponsors on the front of the London Welsh RFC shirts. Quite an achievement.

The new partnership will see London Welsh Developments’ logo, LWD, appear on the front of the players’ shirt.

London Welsh Operations Manager Michael Davies, said: “We would like to thank Tim and Barrie for becoming a key commercial partner of the club and we openly welcome London Welsh Developments’ clients and staff into the unique London Welsh Family. We hope this is the beginning of a mutually beneficial partnership."

London Welsh Developments director Tim Jones, said: “Naturally this is the perfect fit and we could not be happier. We are extremely honoured and excited to be the front of shirt sponsors of London Welsh RFC, a club of great success and history.

“This is a new chapter in our development as a company and we hope that with the support of the local community and the London Welsh family, we can make this a long standing and successful partnership. Michael (Davies) and Katy (Bigos) have been a fantastic help and I look forward to working closely with them and London Welsh RFC.

"I have so many people to thank for their work, help and support - the list would be to long.  This is a step in the right direction as we continue to grow and improve the business."

Barrie added: " I would like to thank my family especially Maria for supporting me so much over the years.

"It's been very tough spending so much time away from Maria and our four boys. This is a great opportunity for us and we are so happy to become the new sponsors of London Welsh RFC."
