WRU Women's Super Cup Round One:

Haverfordwest 44-10 Senghenydd

HAVERFORDWEST Ladies are through to the next round of the Super Cup after a convincing home win over Senghenydd on Sunday.

The Lady Blues ran in eight tries against their division two opponents, producing some 'very good heads up rugby' -  according to coach Gareth Charles.

Helen Finnan (2), Jess Apperley (2), Rachel Finnan, Nina Colville, Emily Carrington and Lucy Peach crossed for tries, with conversions from Peach and Emily Banner.

Senghenydd fought back in the second half with Jess Kidley and Katie Jordan touching down in the corner after spells of forward pressure.

Player of the match was Haverfordwest full back Clodagh Llewhellin, who was full of running and caused the Senghenydd defence constant problems.

There were also impressive displays from veteran Wales internationals Lucy Peach and Natalie Bowen, who rolled back the years at scrum half and replacement prop respectively.

Haverfordwest return to Division One league action on Sunday, December 4, with an away trip to Barry.
