The West Wales Area finale takes place on Saturday, when the Pembrokeshire Hunt hold their annual Point to Point at Trecoed.

There are 63 entries, and racing is also followed by a good card of Pony Racing and a Hunt Scurry Race.

The first race, the Hunt Race, kicks things off at 2pm, and there are 7 entries. The race looks wide open with them all carrying form. Teenage Kicks was a course winner last time out at the Carmarthenshire meeting. Backoftherock was travelling well last time out when an unluckily run out cost him the race, and both Superman De La Rue and Macarthur should go close.

The next race on the card, the Resticted, sees 11 entries, where Classic Hit and January Don catch the eye. The former dropped his maiden tag last time out, and should continue to go well. The later has gone close the last couple of times and deserves to get another win under the belt this season. Way Wild West and could also run well.

The Mickey Bowen duo Universal Soldier and Flying Eagle are the pick of the six 4 mile Mens Open entries. Record breaking novice rider James Bowen will be looking to set the record even higher on one of these.

Bowen set a new british record on the Bridget Lewis-trained Tinkers Hill Tommy at Chaddesley Corbett on Monday. This was his 26th of the season, eclipsing by one the totals set in 2007 and 2008 by Nick Scholfield and Rhys Flint respectively who both became professional jockeys, and that will be Bowen's next move – following his record setting win he said that this meeting could mark his departure from the sport.

The Ladies Open has attracted 14 entires, and it looks to be a competitive race. Watch the Birdie, Spencer Moon, Ramble On, Moral Hazard, Golden Crisp and Buck Mulligan are all winners this season. Tiger Rag and Carry On Nando have both gone close for their novice riders, and Hospial can only improve on previous runs.

The Open Maiden has attracted 16 entries, where connections will be looking for a first win at the end of the season. Vet Cert was travelling well at the course last time out and should go close this time. Tucks Bergin has been placed on the last four occasions, and will be looking to end the season on a high. Of the others, Padre Tito and Bedrock Boy catch the eye.

The final race on the card, the Intermediate, sees 9 entries.  Again, Carry On Nando and jockey Sioned Whittle should go close, and both deserve to get a winner on the board. Robin’s Wager is another who should run a big race, along with Backoftherock. Blazing Tom and Cheltenham Mati should run well too.
