HIGHLY rated Swansea City promising youngster Liam Cullen has penned a new deal at the Liberty Stadium.
The 18-year-old from Pembrokeshire has signed a two-year contract with an option of a third year.
Cullen said: “I am really happy to have signed a new deal with the Swans.
“They’re a team I have grown up supporting, so to continue my career with them is a dream.”
Cullen scored 22 goals in all competitions last season and will step up full-time to the Under 23 set-up during the forthcoming season.
The squad won their league last year, and will start their Premier League 2 campaign with a tough trip to the Etihad to face Manchester City Under 23s on Friday, August 11th.
The former Greenhill Tenby school pupil first joined the club as an eight year old, and made his debut for the Under 18s aged only 13.
“Moving up to the Under 23s presents a new challenge, but it’s one I’m looking forward to,” added Cullen.
“I worked hard last season, but I know the hard work does not stop there.”
It has been a big summer for Cullen, who in June, played for Wales 20s in the annual Toulon Tournament in France.
