Wynne Lloyd Inter District Youth Cup Final

Pembrokeshire Youth 36-28 Ceredigionshire Youth

Pembrokeshire Youth were able to celebrate winning the Wynne Lloyd Inter District Youth Cup Final at Parc Y Scarlets on Sunday - but only after holding off a thrilling fightback from Ceredigionshire.

The county led 26-7 at half time, only to find themselves 28-26 down in the closing stages.

But a penalty from Whitland’s Dan Evans nudged them back ahead by a point, before Cole Barry sealed the win a minute from time with a try that Evans converted.

The game was refereed by Nigel Owens, who said afterwards: “Well that’s me done and dusted for the season and what a great game of rugby to finish with.”
