Harrison Allen Bowl quarter final: Narberth (159-8) beat Burton (155-8) by 2 wickets

Division Two team Narberth are into the final four of the Harrison Allen Bowl after Ben Hughes held his nerve to see them home off the penultimate ball of their match with Burton.

With the scores tied, Hughes lofted a four over mid off to settle a tense but exciting contest.

Top flight team Burton had earlier posted 155-8 in their 22 overs as Morgan Scale led the way with 50, while Toby Hayman (29), Dillen McGiffen (25), Will Ridge (10) and James Davies (10) all chipped in.

For Narberth, wickets fell to Ben Quartermaine (3-32), Loui Davies (2-22), Lewis Hough (1-20) and Matthew Johns (1-40).

The home side's response was again led by Kyle Quartermaine with a big hitting 42 - with other vital knocks from Lewis Hough (25) and Aaron Keane (24).

But Narberth were never allowed to get away as Scale (2-39), Luke Hayman (2-29), James Davies (3-46) and James Scale (1-27) ensured wickets fell regularly - and the batting side were left needing five off the final over with just two wickets in hand.

They got four of them off four balls before Hughes became the hero - sending his side into a first Bowl semi final since 2014.
