Manderwood Pembrokeshire League Division 1: Pennar Robins 1-5 Carew 

Sam Christopher grabbed a hat-trick for third in the table Carew who easily overcame eighth placed Pennar Robins at Bush Camp.

This was a rehearsal of the forthcoming Senior Cup semi-final, and the Rooks psychologically have given themselves the edge with two ins onver their opponents in three weeks.

On the 30 minute mark the visitors took the lead, when Jordan Richards powered a header home from a long throw into the box by Sean Whitfield.

Eight minutes later and the Rooks added a second, Sam Christopher scoring with a sweet left footed strike from the edge of the area.

On the hour mark and Sam Southcott headed home to pull one back for the Robins, but the Rooks finished the stronger and were rewarded when Christopher profited from a Spencer Williams free kick.

Christopher added his side’s fourth as Alex Bayley’s shot fell kindly for the lively striker to pounce for his deserved treble.

Shaun Whitfield was on target with the fifth, putting the gloss on a good all round display from the visitors.
